Her popular Toffee Factory Girls series is inspired by Horner’s Toffee Factory and Dainty Dinah toffee of Chester-le-Street, set around WW1 and researched at Lumley Castle, which features in every book. She also writes cosy crimes set in Scarborough, shortlisted alongside Richard Osman and Val McDermid for Best New Crime Series. Glenda has also been commissioned by ITV to write official Coronation Street tie-in books.
